How did you two meet?
We met at the very end of University through mutual friends, although we were both dating other people at the time. Fast forward 9 months I was newly single and our mutual friend told me Shaun had always had a crush on me. I dropped him a message and the rest is history!
What's your favourite thing to do together?
Travelling and exploring new places together; cooking, trying new food and going to lots of gigs.
What was the best thing about the wedding?
Our wedding was set in the beautiful surroundings of AndalucÃa! The perfect weather and all of our favourite people celebrating with us.
What tip would you give other couples planning their wedding?
Try to enjoy it, planning can be stressful at times but don’t lose sight of the reason for the day – the union between you and your best friend.
Tell us all about your honeymoon! Where did you go and what did you love about it?
We did a mini-moon to Mallorca which was beautiful, we stayed at an amazing boutique hotel in the east of the island which had a Michelin star restaurant. It was the perfect few days to relax and reflect on our big day. We are now planning our big honeymoon to the USA and Mexico at the end of the year!
What has surprised you most about being married?
How amazing the day itself was, we were a little nervous beforehand but the day came together so perfectly, it was better than we could have ever imagined and all our amazing friends and families made it so special.
One thing we did before we got married and I'm glad we still do now is...
Spending Friday nights together, cooking and planning where we will go on our next trip!
Were you always planning to have a gift list?
We have owned a house together for a few years now, so we knew we wanted a honeymoon fund a pose to a traditional gift list. We love travelling and wanted to do something really special for our honeymoon. To us travel experiences and creating memories are so much more valuable than material things.
What's your favourite gift list feature on Prezola?
The reason we loved Prezola is the fact you can create a honeymoon fund gift list and add lots of activities like cocktails on the beach, bike rides, dinner for two. It’s a lovely way for your friends and family to be able to contribute to your honeymoon without it feeling transactional.
What item were you most excited to get on your gift list?
All the experiences, as we love travelling adding all the experiences like snorkelling, dinner on the beach and mustang car hire made us so excited for our honeymoon!
How would you describe your interior style?
Minimal with a touch of vintage/Parisienne aesthetic.
Is there a gift you wish you had added to your gift list but didn't?
Although we did a honeymoon fund I do sort of wish we’d added a Dyson vacuum as I’ve wanted one for ages and feel like it’s something you can’t really justify. Boring I know but you can’t beat a good vacuum cleaner!
